Whether you’re five years old or 55 years old, this is a good motto for life. The world that you are growing up in; the world which you will eventually shape is completely different than it was just one generation ago.
Learning to be self-sustaining or self-sufficient does not mean that you are not leaning on God 100%. It means that you use the mind and body He gave you to its best abilities.
Did your parents or grandparents do any of the following: garden, cook, sew, build things, raise animals, change the oil or tires on the car, have a budget that they stuck to?
These are all skills that we believe the young person today will need to know to be able to survive in this economy. These are the kinds of things we will talk about here.
Have you ever volunteered to help someone else? Many kids and teens today are involved in projects all over the world. Regardless of age, one person CAN make a difference! Will that person be you?
